My work on sustainable consumption focuses on responsibility, including how consumers make sense of their responsibilities and how and why they may resist interventions that responsibilize them.

I am also interested in transformative service research, including how to design inclusive service systems (for humans, animals and the planet) and what happens in separated service (e.g., telehealth or virtual health).

Foundational to much of my work is also the notion of contraditions, or paradoxes - particularly those that are not easily reconciled, and how people navigate these in cultural and market settings.
